Heisse Kursawe Eversheds: new Partner for the practice group Commercial

As from 01 July 2010, Dr. Joos Hellert, LL.M. will begin his work as Partner at the international law firm Heisse Kursawe Eversheds in the fields distribution and franchise law as well as dispute resolution and corporate compliance. The 36-year old attorney has been Legal Director of the Central European division at Burger King as well as member of the management board for Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland since August 2006. He was responsible for the comprehensive legal supervision of eleven countries and was also mainly concerned with compliance issues and complex dispute resolution. Joos was significantly involved in the establishment of Burger King national companies in Russia and Eastern Europe. Furthermore, he has been the second chairman at the federal association for the fast-food industry (Bundesverband der Systemgastronomie) since May 2007. Moreover, he worked at Heisse Kursawe Eversheds from 2001 to 2006.

By the inclusion of another Partner, Heisse Kursawe Eversheds shows that it accommodates the market requirements and the strong growth and consequently adapts its structures. Thus, the number of Partners increased from 16 to 25 within only seven months. Many new employees were hired and several attorneys were promoted on the Counsel level. Furthermore, the law firm rented considerable office space in view of the increasing space requirements.
